On Tuesday, April 15th, during the NAB convention, more than 100 Century
agents, dealers and users from around the world, gathered at the Schneider Optics booth to celebrate 60 years of Century's optics for film and video.
Century Precision was started in a sunny suburb of Southern California in
1948. The company quickly gained a reputation for expert lens repair, custom
modification and intelligent innovation. In the early '80s Century began
creating what has today become the most extensive array of ultra-high quality video lens add-ons on the market.
In 2000, optical leader Schneider Optics acquired Century Precision Optics.
Both of these professional optics pioneers have earned Technical Achievement
Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Schneider in
2005, 2001 and 1978, Century in 1992). Together, Schneider Optics and the Century brand create an optical synergy to fulfill the optical needs of today's imaging professionals.

Over 100 agents, dealers and customers gathered
at the Schneider Optics both for a toast
to 60 years of the Century brand.
